Getting Started with Spotlyst

Everything you need to set up the app and import your places.

1

Download from TestFlight

Install the Spotlyst beta through Apple's TestFlight app.

Open TestFlight Link
2

Sign in with your email

Open Spotlyst and enter your email address. You'll receive a one-time code to sign in — no password needed.

3

Import your Google Maps places

Use our Chrome extension to pull in your saved Google Maps lists.

  • Download the Chrome extension and unzip it
  • Open Chrome and go to chrome://extensions
  • Enable Developer mode using the toggle in the top-right corner
  • Click Load unpacked and select the unzipped folder
  • Click the Spotlyst extension icon and sign in with the same email you used in the app
  • Navigate to one of your Google Maps saved lists
  • Click Export to Spotlyst in the extension popup
  • Stay on the page while it scrolls through and exports your places
4

Review your import

Open the Import tab in the app to review the places that were pulled in. You can add tags, assign them to lists, or remove any you don't want before saving.

5

Explore

You're all set. Browse your places on the Map, organize them in Lists, or head to the Discover tab for AI-powered recommendations based on spots you already love.

Shake your phone to send feedback. Found a bug or have an idea? Just shake your device and a feedback form will pop up.

Note: This works in production (TestFlight) builds, not in the simulator.
